Aberdeen Golf Club
St. Louis golfers can now enjoy a true links style championship golf course. Designed by renowned golf course architect Gary Kern, Aberdeen Golf Club is an 18 hole, par 72, links style golf course. Aberdeen’s unique layout features undulating zoysia and native grass terrain, sod wall bunkering, 2 lakes, and bentgrass greens against a picturesque backdrop of the Meramec River bluffs. While true linksland is not present in Missouri, the Meramec River floodplain has been sculpted to resemble the landscape found on the old courses in Scotland. The course character and strategy are adaptations of the elements found on the classic links courses. With it’s five sets of tees, excellent service, and premium golf course conditions, Aberdeen Golf Club is certain to become your favorite “Scottish Golf Experience”!

Pitch and Putt League
If you are a beginner golfer or a golfer easing back into golf after an injury or just wanting to improve your short game, this event is for YOU!
GolfPort’s Cutter Creek Course is a short but challenging 9-hole course specifically designed to help your short game with sand traps, water hazards, and small / narrow greens. Just bring your pitching wedge and putter, for that is all that you need for this course. Tee time at 6 PM; $4.50 for 9 holes or $5 for 1 hour. Fall Mini-League
Our next Fall Mini-League date is Thursday August 26 at Crystal Springs Quarry. Tee time is 4:40 PM; cost is $25 for 9 holes including cart. RSVP to Michael Rodney at mrodney@sbcglobal.net.
Leadership Brunch
Ok…it’s not really a brunch. It’s more of a “Hackers Happy Hour” being planned for Tuesday August 31 at Limestone’s Restaurant (Crystal Spring Quarry Golf Course) starting at 5:30 PM. Eastern Midwest District Semi-Final Qualifying Championship Results and Kudos
Sixty (60) participants competed at Stonewolf Golf Course, site of the Eastern Midwest District Semi-Final Championship, on Saturday August 7 and three of our members advanced in their respected flight to Nationals that will be held at Geneva National Golf Course in Wisconsin September 29 – October 2, 2010.Please congratulate Jenny Kile, Nancy Rodney, and Jackie Dixon. Jenny won 3rd flight low net, Jackie – who qualified at Memphis TN – won 4th flight low gross, and Nancy won 4th flight low net. more…..

Upcoming EWGA Road Trip:
September 11 – 12 at Crown Pointe in Farmington, MO
Great chance for a quick weekend get-a-way with lots of great golf, fun with your EWGA friends, and of course, the chance for after golf dinner at a local restaurant where you can share golf stories and adult beverages. (Dinner and drinks are pay as you go.) This beautiful location is an easy drive down Highway 67, about 1-2 hours from St. Louis MO. Cost is $146 per person which includes 1 night lodging, 2 days of unlimited golf, lunch and breakfast. Please reserve by Saturday, September 4.
Or, if you can only take a day away, cost is $45 for unlimited play including cart on Saturday September 11. You will need to reserve by Thursday September 9.
Saturday start times are at 9:04 AM and at 2:48 PM on Saturday. Sunday tee-time is at 8:00 AM.
